1989 — · Norwegian
Trans-disciplinary practice founded in Oslo in 1989 by Craig Dykers and Kjetil Trædal Thorsen. Snøhetta works at every scale — landscape, architecture, interiors, graphic and product design — fusing them into single integrated experiences. Major works include the Bibliotheca Alexandrina, the Oslo Opera House and the National September 11 Memorial Museum Pavilion.
“Architecture as landscape — buildings that emerge from terrain rather than impose upon it, where roof becomes plaza and floor becomes earth.”
